Socialising

Café evenings

Café Evenings are intended for young people who are looking for safe and inclusive spaces to be creative and discuss socially important topics through creative expression. In addition, our Café Evenings also enable a holistic experience of voluntary work through planning, organisation, execution and evaluation of cultural events. Café Evenings are organised in cooperation with Appareo association and ŠKUC association.

Café Evenings are hosted by Tiffany Club every other Thursday.

Thursday dialogues

Thursday Dialogues are regular weekly events intended for conversations on health, with emphasis on topics related to hiv/AIDS. Every working Thursday in a relaxed environment we prepare different activities – discussions, round tables, creative workshops, movie nights and other.

The purpose of Thursday Dialogues is to ensure a safe space where participants can learn, talk and exchange opinions. Often we host renowned experts from the field of medicine and other sciences. Thursday Dialogues enable our guests and participants to be informed and made aware of the importance of safe sex and the fight against stigmatisation and discrimination of HIV positive persons.

Social meet-ups

Within programme for older adults we occasionally organise social meet-ups, such as barbeques, literary evenings and many other activities. The purpose of social meet-ups is to enable informal and non-topical relaxed socialising opportunity of getting to know each other.

Social meet-ups are intended for young people under 30 years of age who are or think they could be LGBT and everyone else who is questioning their sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression along with their friends, family members,…

Edu camps

E

Educational camps enable several days long socialising and discussion on advanced topics that exceed time frame of a workshop and self-help group meeting we usually organise. Camps are intended for young LGBT persons of under 30 years old. Camps ensure a safe space for participants to learn and have fun. Such form of socialising offers an opportunity for in-depth conversation on topics and situations confronted with in everyday life. Together we build a safe space for everyone to feel safe and relaxed to engage in conversation. In addition to that, camp enables a development of a sense of belonging – participants are no longer »different«, those pointed at by society, but rather a part of a group in which they feel safe and relaxed and aware that there are many »others« who are in similar life situation.

We organise two educational camps per year, usually one in April and one in October. For additional information we are available at +386 1 430 51 44 or [email protected]
